Beliefs can stem from various life experiences, including those we may not consciously recognise, especially when trauma is involved. Trauma doesn’t always have to be a major life event, it can manifest from seemingly minor incidents like being shouted at as a child or past moments of embarrassment. These experiences become imprinted in our subconscious mind, shaping our belief systems. Most of our subconscious beliefs are formed in the first 7 years of our life!

In today's fast paced world, the relentless demands and pressures we face can leave us feeling drained, stressed and simply stuck in tedious routines; typically with little personal fulfilment or reward. This common reality, that can lead us down an unsettling path of anxiety, distress and worry; often has a profound negative impact on our daily lives and personal wellbeing.
It is important to recognise anxiety is a very normal, natural and instinctive response mechanism built to protect us. This very clever evolutionary survival system, that originated in our ancient ancestors, is often referred to as the "Flight, Fight, Freeze" response. However, in the complexity of modern life, this system can become confused. The mind sometimes confuses the ancient need for immediate action to survive with today's non-life-threatening stressors, which can then lead to chronic stress and health issues.
Anxiety can have a massive affect on a person's everyday life and general wellbeing, both psychologically and physically.
If we constantly live in this state of worry and stress and do not address our feelings and take good care of our mental wellbeing, these unwanted feelings of anxiety can take hold.
The effects of anxiety can show up in our lives as feelings of worry, stress, despair, panic, fear and even physical effects such as shaking, sweating, dry mouth, rising temperature and so on.
As someone who has suffered with anxiety, I know all too well the importance of having the right support and resources available to enable us to get back on track.
Although really unpleasant at the time, the silver lining to my experiences with anxiety is that it has been the driver in creating the passion and dedication I have with helping people be the best they can possibly be and live the life they deserve to live; HAPPY!

Meditation keeps me calm, grounded and focused, providing the clarity I need to navigate through my day smoothly. It helps me connect to positive energy, ensuring my days flow with ease and alignment.
EFT, on the other hand, is my go to for addressing any negativity or barriers that may arise. Whether it's anxiety, low moods, worries or feeling generally stuck, tapping out these negative emotions and replacing them with positivity helps me regain my focus and realign my energy for a better day.
For me, these simple but very effective practices are a non negotiable for a good and healthy mental wellbeing.
What is meditation and how can it help with your wellbeing?
Meditation is a heightened state of focus that helps to create awareness, clarity, and calm in the mind and can be practiced anywhere. There are many different ways to meditate and it's not, by any means, one size fits all!
Detaching yourself from your thoughts helps your mind to disassociate from any unwanted feelings, fears, and thought patterns and enables you to learn how to relax, let go and quiet the mind. Whilst you are still able to observe thoughts, from an objective point of view, the aim is to not let your thoughts define you; they are quite simply just thoughts.
Maintaining a good overall sense of wellbeing can benefit you in more ways than you can imagine such as:-

What is EFT and how can it help with your wellbeing?
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a powerful self tapping process that helps a person to clear any physical and emotional blocks from their body's internal energy system by combining gentle stimulation of the meridians, through tapping, with the use of phrases and affirmations designed to focus a person's attention on the problem at hand. This dual focus helps the brain process and resolve whatever is troubling the person; restoring mind-body balance.
Tapping is based on the combined principles of modern psychology and ancient Chinese acupressure and is used to resolve a wide range of problems including PTSD, stress, anxiety, fears, phobias, unwanted habits, physical pain and much more. EFT is also great when used on a daily basis, for setting intentions and maintaining mind-body balance with the use of positive phrases and affirmations.
